WHAT IS THE CHECK IN PROCESS?
Check in is between 4 PM & 8 PM, unless you’ve made special arrangements with us. Upon arrival you will pull down the driveway and park in the designated parking lot, and come into the Lodge front desk. We will check you in and give you keys to your site. You can drive you car to your tent/cabin, unload, the pull it back to the parking lot. All vehicles must remain in the parking lot overnight, you can not park next to your site.
DO YOU HAVE FOOD AND ALCOHOL TO PURCHASE?
Yes – we have beer, wine and snacks available for purchase in our General Store. No outside alcohol is allowed at Rancho Moonrise, it must be purchased on site.
IS THERE A REFRIGERATOR?
Each Safari Tent has a refrigerator, every cabin has a cooler.
IS THERE FREE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes. All sites receive 1 parking spot with reservation in our general parking lot. It is a short walk to all the sites. We also have golf cart service which the staff can assist with if needed.
DO YOU HAVE ELECTRIC CAR CHARGERS?
At this time we do not have electric car chargers.
DO THE CABINS AND TENTS HAVE BATHROOMS?
Each site has a different layout. Cabins and safari tents #7 – #12 use the communal bathhouse. Safari tents #13 – #20 have private, ensuite toilets, sinks and showers in the tent.
DO I NEED TO BRING TOILETRIES?
No. We provide soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Yes! Rancho Moonrise welcomes all well-behaved dogs with their owners for an additional fee of $50.00. There is a 1 dog maximum with an 60 lb maximum weight each. Please note that not all accommodations are pet friendly.
Dogs must be kept on a maximum, 6-foot leash under owner supervision and may not be left unattended at any time. Guests are responsible to “clean up” after their dog. All dog waste must be properly disposed of in a plastic bag, placed in a trash can. Noisy, vicious, or unruly dogs are not allowed. Rancho Moonrise is not responsible for, and will hold the dog owner accountable, for any injury or damage caused by your dog.
Dogs may not be left unattended at any time in your accommodation. There are no exceptions to this rule.All dog waste must be disposed of by the owner. There are trash cans located throughout the property for your convenience and dog waste bags are provided. Damage to furniture, flooring, doors, beds, bedding, etc., caused by your dog will result in a fee for repair or replacement which will be charged to your credit card on file. Additional cleaning costs accrued as a result from your dog – are the responsibility of the owner.
If your dog is deemed dangerous, harmful or disruptive, Rancho Moonrise management has sole discretion to require you to find other accommodations. Any guest who arrives with a dog without prior authorization from Rancho Moonrise staff may be denied accommodations, depending on management’s appraisal of the situation.
POOL AND SPA
Our large pool and hot tub spa is available for use to overnight guests and during private events. Pool towels are provided at the front desk in our lodge to guests. We have no lifeguard on duty, it is your sole responsibility to follow all rules listed at the pool and watch any young children you are with. The pool closes at 9 pm.
WILL A PACK AND PLAY FIT IN THE CABINS AND TENTS?
A pack and play will fit in all the safari tents, but not the cabins. If you are bringing children we recommend reserving safari tent #7 or #8, which has bunk beds and ample floor space for a pack and play.
HOW FAR APART ARE THE SITES?
All sites are at least 20’ apart.
CAN I GET A SITE NEXT TO MY FRIENDS?
Yes – email [email protected] with your request and we will do our best to accommodate it!
IS THERE A NOISE CURFEW?
Yes, noise curfew is 9:30 pm.
ARE THERE FIRE PITS?
Yes – all sites have access to fire pits. You are allowed to use these if there is not a statewide fire ban. All fires must be put out by midnight. We sell firewood in the general store if needed.
DO YOU PROVIDE FIREWOOD?
No but we have firewood available for purchase in our General Store.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you cancel within 5 days of your reservation you will receive a full refund.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
The tents are very weather proof and will keep you safe and dry in the event of a storm. We do not offer refunds for any inclement weather.
IS THERE WIFI?
Yes we do have complimentary WiFi available in our Lodge, which is a short walk from the tents/cabins.
ARE THERE ANIMALS ON THE PROPERTY?
Although we are just a short drive from Austin, Rancho Moonrise is a working ranch, surrounded by nature. There is livestock on the property and an abundance of wildlife you may see or hear during your stay.
DO YOU ALLOW HUNTING ON THE PROPERTY?
No hunting is allowed on the property at any time.
DO YOU ALLOW DAY VISITORS?
Yes! We sell day pool passes you can purchase online. Our General Store is open during lodge hours and you can stop by anytime to purchase beer/wine/retail items as well.
DO YOU ALLOW PRIMITIVE CAMPING?
Not yet – but stay tuned!! 🙂
